Christmas Service

Picture
WELCOME
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our guests who have come to share in our Christmas worship service.  May we be blessed as we worship our Lord even when we cannot all gather together physically.
Merry Christmas!
As we seek to be Church and celebrate Christmas while being socially distant, you are invited to please follow through the readings and videos as posted on this page.  (If you wish to turn this into a candlelight service, please light a candle and turn off/down your lights.  During the singing of Silent Night at the end of the service each family member may light their candle from the Christ candle lit at the start of the service.  You can also consider using battery operated candles for the youngest members of the family.)

Glory to God in the highest!
And hope to every discouraged heart.
Glory to God in the highest!
And peace to every conflicted soul.
Glory to God in the highest!
And joy to every downcast spirit.
Glory to God in the highest!
And love to everyone.
Let us sing praises to our God.
Let us offer this light against the darkness.

Let us come before our God in Prayer:
Holy God of Love,
There is light in our lives
because of the abundance of your steadfast love.
A love so vast, so deep, so real,
that you became one of us.
May we live within the power of this love.
And may we share its light with a world
where too many dwell in darkness.  Amen.

As we end this time of worship we encourage everybody to consider looking through the church directory and giving somebody a call this holiday season.  It would be nice to be able to stay connected as a church family.  Especially consider the ones who may be alone and sheltered during this time.  May we go in the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessing:
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
those who lived in deepest night, are lit up with a brilliant sight.
Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.
The spread of his influence and of his peace will never end.
Therefore, go out into the world with great joy,
and the grace of Bethlehem’s matchless Child,
the love of the God who never ceases to amaze,
and the fellowship of the Spirit who never wearies,
will be with you this holy night and evermore.
Thanks be to God!
